Party at Rio Grande

We had a big group of friends go out for dinner at Rio Grande tonight. Actually its now called Uncle Julio's. No idea why they would change the name and especially why to Uncle Julio's. Anyway the place and the menu look the same. We were a party of 20.5 with the kids slightly outnumbering the adults. We took the risk and it paid off... kids at one table, adults at the other! Waitress did a great job and we had a good time.




OK. Now back to my slow roll-out of vacation pictures...

Then it was off to visit Cousin Levy.

Back From Vacation

The family just got back from 10 days in Florida. Great time, but glad to be home. Lots of pictures to go through so to start things off here is two days at Sea World!!

Vacation Look Back - Part 4 (The Beach)

We went to a great little beach right next to Briny Breezes, called Gulfstream beach. The sand is starting to erode, so hopefully the replenish the beach soon.

Vacation Look Back - Part 3 (Butterfly World)

On to Butterfly World, where you pay through the nose, but in the end seems worth it. The butterfly below really took a liking to Jacob.
But the highlight of the day was in the lorikeet house. This was where a crazy looking old bird (kind of like the john Belushi of the bird house) relieved himself on Jacob's hat which happened to be on Grandpa's head :-)

Vacation Look Back - Part 2

Part 2 takes us North two towns to Boyton Beach, the land of Bagel shops and nail salons.		This year the kids could finally go into the pool at grandma and grandpa's community. A valid birth certificate or green card was no longer required.
The kids really loved the pool. We enjoyed the pool several times and no one pooped in the pool!!

Uncle Marc's Boat

We had a great visit last week with Karen's brother. He took us out for a boat ride in the Gulf and the kids had a great time. All Faith wanted to do was go faster... even when we were doing 30 knots.

Vacation - The Final Days

We finally got a chance to see my Aunt and Uncle on Sunday afternoon. After seeing my Dad's photo club exposition, we had a nice dinner together on my parents patio. Great corn beef from Flakowitz.

Monday morning, while Karen packed the family up, we hit the beach one final time. It turned out to be a very windy day, but still nice.


At one point a big ominous cloud came over and the wind really picked up. That was our cue to pack it up.



Goodbye to Florida!

Back To Aunt Steph's

On Saturday we were back at Aunt Steph's. She and Uncle Mitch hosted a nice visit. The same crew as last time returned and Mitch's Father and wife also joined us for awhile.
Meg, on the left, turned 29 for the second time and we had nice ice cream cake for her. Meg got a kick out watching my crazy daughter eat ice cream. She licks it like a cat, even an ice cream cake.

Sugar Sand Park - Boca

There is a great park in Boca called Sugar Sand Park. We went there last year and revisited again this year, twice! This time we tried out the exploratorium (kids science museum) in addition to the park.
