Our big hole in the ceiling

Isn't it nice. Its right over the kitchen table. There were 2 holes in one of the cold water pipes. Plumber fixed the leak quickly but we were left with this. It might be there awhile.

Early July 4th?

Ken and Amanda came over this afternoon. Lot of fun all around. Got ice cream, grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, ate some watermelon, and.... Ken brought some fireworks!!!

Afternoon at the pool

Reuben had a bowling party so missed the pool the fun... but I heard he had a lot of fun there and bowled very well!

Spring 2009 Final Soccer Post

Last Sunday (the 14th) we finally crushed another team!!! The boys played great. Very aggressive on offensive. Some stellar defense. And an all around fun time!

Fathers' Day

 
Just got back from Long Island and a wonderful Father's Day spent with my family. More pictures to come anotehr day...

Visit to DC

Nana, Fred, Levy, Karen, Reuben, Jacob, and Faith all got to visit the White House today. Very exciting, but no pictures. Afterward they went to the American History Museum and then around the Mall.

Yes. I guess Steven Colbert counts as history!

Faith Graduates Pre School Summa Cum Laude

Nice graduation ceremony for Faith this morning. She such a big girl.

Soccer Sunday

Reuben and Jacob are really getting good! Jacob likes defense, though he sometimes hangs back on D rather than following the ball up the field (too early to start specializing positions). But on defense, he really kicks out well and is aggressive in attacking the ball, and no longer the other players :-) He cut across the field and stripped the ball from an opposing player about to shoot a goal from point blank range. Saved the goal. Reuben, on the other hand is a great offensive player. Several times he dribbled the ball up the entire field to shoot the ball. He scored a couple of goals. Then on the last time up he passed it off to his friend Jonah who scored the goal; excellent teamwork.

This was Faith's last game of the season and she too is improving. She only broke into ballet moves once or twice in the middle of the game. And she kicked the ball at least TWICE! She seems to have fun and does run around. Probably doesn't help that most of the team are girls and ones that she also dances with.

Friends Over

This evening we had a couple of families over bringing the kid total to 7. Our initial plan was to be in the backyard most of the time, but after a week of rain, it was just too wet. So we mostly played out front... some hoops, some bikes, and then inside some Wii. Fun time for all.
