Spring Hike

This afternoon Tipper, the kids, and I went for a hike on our community nature trail. Very serious hikers... We came prepared with backpacks full of water bottles and of course the all important hiking sticks.

Tipper really enjoyed the hike too.

Its a pretty little trail following a small stream through the neighborhood.

As soon we left the trail, Jacob said he wanted to go hiking again. I said we'll go again soon. His response was that he wanted to go again right now :-)

Spring Fever

We enjoyed a fun afternoon outside, first cleaning up the backyard and doing some yard work and then playing with kids out in the court.

Sorry for the lack of recent posts. I have been very busy working a proposal at the office... and its not going to well! We'll see in a month.

Purim Carnival

Normal Sunday routine. Faith and I dropped the boys off at Sunday School this morning and then went out for breakfast. Did a couple of errands and then headed home to wake up Mommy :-)

This Sunday's twist was that after Sunday School, the synagogue had a Purim Carnival that was a lot of fun.

Ice Capades

Well the temperature hit 72 today, so what do we decide to do... go ice skating! Actually I've been wanting to take the kids for awhile now for their first try at ice skating. So when Ken and Amanda suggested it, I was all for it. We had a really fun time and everyone liked it. Though the kids did not venture far from the wall, they improved throughout the time we were there. They now want to know when we can go back!

Calm Before The Storm

Pretty quiet weekend; mostly in recovery mode getting everyone back and healthy again. Yesterday Jacob and I rested at home while Karen took Reuben and Faith to a Lego event at the mall.
Think Reuben could be any happier :-)

Meanwhile back at home I noticed this little guy who must not have known that the groundhog saw his shadow.

Then Tipper went out and kept the yard clear of those rascals.

Today I took the kids out for pizza and the hobby shop after the boys received a good report from Sunday school. The kids picked out some snap together models. Reuben got an F-15, while Faith and Jacob got Star Wars fighters. Reuben had his together in minutes. Meanwhile it took Daddy quite awhile to get the Star Wars ones together. I even resorted to glue in several places; not the best snap together models. Anyway Reuben and Jacob liked them. Faith, who's model was the hardest to get together, told me "this is boring" while I struggled to get it together. She went off to play while I labored getting the darn thing together.

Finally, tonight was another pre-school Dads event. About 15 of us went bowling. Lot of fun and I even wound up with 205 game; haven't done that in awhile. But, I lost to a 211! Anyway, now we wait for the supposed snow storm of epic proportions (5-9 inches)...
