Halloween

Fun Halloween today and the rain held out long enough for a good candy haul!

We started the day with our neighborhood party at our park. Nice turn out with lots of kids dressed up. Jacob won a jar of 622 candy corns by guessing the closest. His guess was 526. Faith guessed 16 :-) Then after dinner we hit the streets for candy. We had a couple of Star wars Clones, Jacob as Captain Rex and Reuben as Commander Cody. Faith was Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and I wore my $1.50 Jason costume (of Friday The 13th fame). Even with the late drizzle, it was a pretty good turnout of kids. Went through 3 bags of candy (usually given two pieces out a kid).

Busy day tomorrow with bowling with a group of friends late morning and then our soccer game at 2pm. Hopefully our makeup practice on Thursday helps our game time performance. I am tired already.

 
Yesterday Faith lost her first tooth. She was very proud of her accomplishmnet :-) And very happy to join in the lucrative tooth fairy visits with her brothers.

The Cub Scouts

  Reuben and Jacob had their first real troop and den meetings. They are Tigers and today learned the Tiger motto, the Tiger sign, and the Tiger salute. We also made leaf rubbings. Then with the den we designed a miniture golf course in he social hall and then proceeded to play a round. All in all pretty fun.

Welcome Alex

 Our kids are very excited about their new cousin Alex who was born early this morning! While the boys are at hebrew school, I took Faith out for breakfast and a couple of errands. She had a fever yesterday, so no hebrew school for her today. She had no temperture this morning and seemed fine, except for a cough. Probably should not have taken her out as she now has a mild fever again. Anyway while out, faith picked out this little tiger for Alex.

Even though soccer and softball games are all rained out, it will still be a busy day. The boys have their first real Tiger cubscout meeting later this afternoon. Between the troop and den meetings it will go a couple of hours. Last night Karen and I put their uniforms together. Hopefully they are willing to wear them!

Block Party

We had our block party today. Good turn out and good food. Reuben had a fever yesterday and this morning he was still feeling bad, so he stayed up on our driveway. I deputized him as photography and he did a great job!

More Teeth... well really less teeth!

Jacob lost his tooth yesterday.

Reuben lost another tooth today.

The tooth fairy in this neighborhood is very busy and going bankrupt!

Reuben and Jacob are now Tigers in the cub scouts. Naturally the first order of business is fundraising. So if you are interested in ordering some popcorn our boys would be happy to add you to their order. We accept COD :-)

Birthday In The Sukkah

Happy Birthday Karen!

Yesterday Karen and the kids started to decorate the Sukkah.


Tonight we had dinner out there and celebrated Karen's birthday.



Then we moved inside for some gifts...

Sukkah Up; Just in Time

After a late start to putting up the Sukkah this year because we went to NY for a long weekend, I finally have it assembled. And just in time... Sukkot starts tomorrow. Tuesday afternoon Reuben and Jacob helped me build the frames for the walls. Tonight Reuben with some help from Mommy and Faith raised the frame, put on the roof, and attached the fabric walls. A lot of help from everyone.


Also tonight, Reuben lost a tooth as is expecting a tooth fairy visit! Jacob has a tooth also hanging by a thread. And Faith has her first loose tooth, maybe a week away. Tooth Fairy here will be very busy.
